Procedure to Traffic E-Challan Check

Step 1: Click the link given below to check challan status. This will redirect you to the official website home page, where you can check the challan.
Step 2: Select the Option Challan Number if you have the challan number or Select the Vehicle Number Option or Select the D.L. Number Option. Enter the No. & Captcha. & click on Get Details Button.
Step 3: If from the above details you can see any challan, may there is no challan against your details. If Challan is fetched up, Check the details of the challan, Check the Penalty amount and the cause of challan.
Step 4: Save the copy of the challan for further proceedings.

Penalty Amount for Traffic E-Challan
Type of Offense		Amount of Penalty (INR)
General Offence		1st-time Rs.500 & 2nd time Rs.1500
Driving without Licence		Rs.5000/-
Driving an illegal automobile without Licence		Rs.5000/-
Over Speeding of Vehicle		For LMV: Rs.1000 to Rs.2000
Medium Passenger or Goods Vehicle		Rs.2000 to Rs.4000 For the 2nd time, confiscation of driving license will happen
Rash Driving of Vehicles		1st Time: Police Custody for 6 months to 1 year and/ or penalty of Rs.1000 to Rs.5000 2nd Time: Police Custody for 6 months to 1 year and or penalty of Rs.1000 to Rs.5000
Driving under Intoxication		1st Time: Police Custody up to 6 months and penalty of Rs.10,000 2nd Time: Imprisonment till up to 2 years and or penalty of Rs.15,000
Driving without Insurance		1st Time: Police Custody up to 3 months and or penalty of Rs.2000 2nd Time: Imprisonment till up to 3 months or and penalty of Rs.2000
Seat Belt Violation		Rs.1000/-
Helmet Wearing Violation		Rs.1000/-
Not giving way to Emergency Vehicle		Imprisonment for 6 months and or penalty of Rs.10,000
Accidental Related Penalties		1st Time: Imprisonment till up to 6 months and or penalty of Rs.5000 2nd Time: Imprisonment till up to 1 year or penalty of Rs.10,000

Payment of E-challan Paid Online
Online Method
Method 1 : Click the link given below ‘Pay Challan Online’. This will redirect you to the official website to pay challan. Enter the Challan Number and Vehicle Number there. This will redirect you to the new payment page, Where you have to make the Challan Payment. Select the Method of payment and Enter Credentials. This will show to successful payment message and a receipt is generated download the receipt and save it for later. Method 2 : Paytm also provide the facility for the payment of E Challan. Check the Pay your traffic challan option in the Paytm app. Select the Traffic authority by which your E-challan has made. Enter the Challan number and Vehicle number. Paytm fetched your challan and creates various payment options in Front of you. Choose the Payment Option and complete the payment. A Receipt is generated. Download the receipt and save it for later.
Offline Method
The only way for the payment of E-challan through offline mode is the nearest police station. Go to your nearest police station and complete the formalities and make payment.
